The 1 Port 54Mbps Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router W8101G is a highly durable multifunction device that performs as a high-speed DSL modem, a NAT (Network Address Translation) router, and a Wireless G AP (Access Point) which means no need to purchase separate router and wireless access point to gain access to the internet through a wired or wireless network and no more running cables to all the rooms in the house or cubicles in the office for connectivity.

This 3-in-1 device supports ADSL2+ standard which means better performance and longer reach from ISP’s central office. Downloading videos or music online, media streaming, and video conferencing can be easily performed due to high speeds reaching up to 24Mbps downstream and 3.5Mbps upstream. Connecting your wireless 802.11g devices will give you speeds reaching 54Mbps.

NAT (Network Address Translation) represents a group of computers with just one IP (Internet Protocol) address for security and SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection) checks contents of incoming packets before allowing delivery to prevent viruses or worms from infecting computers. Parents and Network administrators can control and prevent what children or workers can access on the local network through MAC address, IP address, domain name or applications.

Inbound and Outbound data transfer is smoother because of the priority policies that the QoS engine has built-in for better network performance and less traffic collisions.
