Easily applied by hand, Abesco Fire Rated Putty is perfect for filling small openings found around penetrations where cables, pipes and conduit pass through walls. Due to the soft intumescent elastomer make-up, the Fire Rated Putty sticks to regular building surfaces and can quickly be molded to fit odd openings.

Able to provide up to 3 hours of fire resistance (UL 1479, ASTM E814)because when exposed to extreme heat, the Fire Rated Putty will expand 3 times its normal size which creates a tight sealed barrier that keeps out fumes, smoke and flames.

Contains no asbestos.
Burns clean, does not release harmful chemicals and vapors.
