Elektralinkô Sealed Solder Butt Splices are the best solution to fix damaged commercial, industrial, office and home wires and getting your devices back in action without investing much time or money.

Manufactured from a clear, polyolefin material is what makes these butt splices perfect for inspecting your alterations before crimping or heat shrinking resulting in current flowing smoothly through wires. Adhesive lining provides for a water resistant and non-corrosive connection ideal for marine industries. For better cable management, these non-flame retardant connectors come in different color variations and display AWG imprint. With a ratio of 3:1 rest assured that your wires will be shielded form outside elements.

While these were better than a crimped butt splice they did not perform as well as competitors products. The solder didn't flow, it did melt and shrink but it needs to flow into the wires to complete a good solder joint and this didn't happen. The heat shrink did a good job of sealing the splice with it's adhesive lining flowing well. It took a very long time to heat this connector. Wasn't very impressed.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  • Strip the wire 3/8"
  • Select a connector that matches the wire gauge
  • Slide it over one of the wires
  • Separate the wires strands, and push them together to intermingle the wire strands.
  • Slide the connector and center the solder sleeve over the intermingled wire strands
  • Apply heat evenly around the length of the tubing from center out to the ends until the tubing fully recovers and the adhesive flows
  • Continue distributing the heat over the solder sleeve until the solder flows into the wire strands.
  • Remove from the heat and let cool for a PERFECT connection.
