The JDSU Net-Rite Cable Tester – TP250 is a handheld, lightweight device, about the size of a cell phone, which comes with an LCD (Liquid Crystal display) screen to display results of your terminated Cat5 or Cat6 Ethernet cables and suggest corrections to meet TIA (Telecommunications Industry Association) 568 standards. There are no buttons to press on this cable tester making it the perfect tool for field technicians. Test up to 1,000 feet of cable length for opens, shorts, split pairs, miswires, and reversals so that transmitting data at top speed will not be a problem. The removable remote allows you to troubleshoot long cables that are terminated in different locations for errors and continuity. Once done using your cost efficient, network cable tester you can easily store it in a drawer or a tool bag.
