Network performance is very important to companies that depend on data to be transferred at high speed and in a secure manner. Not meeting these requirements can have a devastating effect on company growth. JDSU ValidatorPro-NT - NT1155 ensures proper measures are taken for networks to function at top speed while preventing network downtime. The JDSU ValidatorPRO-NT - NT1155 is an advance network management tool that will test all aspects of a network starting with cabling and ending with documentation of network topology changes.

Network Ethernet cables are BER (Bit Error Rate) tested by transferring data packets through cables at different rates to check for errors at the maximum throughput of link. SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) testing is also performed on Cat5 and Cat6 cables to monitor signal quality that can affect high-speed data transfer. Continuity testing is performed to measure total cable lengths and also to confirm that the Cat 5 and Cat 6 Ethernet cables have been properly crimped, paired, and that there are no high-resistance faults.

Many companies now have optical links implemented into their network infrastructures which is why this handheld device includes an optic meter tester for single-mode and multimode fiber cables that evaluates optical power at 850/1300/1310/1490/1550 nm.

Some of the more advanced features of this powerful network test device are PoE (Power over Ethernet) measurements to assure that the correct power is transmitted to the correct pains, port discovery for speed and duplex capability, and ping test to verify IP host connectivity. CDP (Cisco Discovery Protocol) or LLDP (Link Layer Discovery Protocol) can be used to detect other network devices connected to the network and verify network topology.

Wireless networks within the network infrastructures can also be tested for functionality and secure configuration.

The JDSU ValidatorPro-NT - NT1155 is designed with a Color back-lit FSTN (Film compensated Super-Twisted Nematic) LCD (liquid crystal display) screen that clearly displays all test results. A full keypad with navigation and alphanumeric soft-keys makes this handheld tool easy to operate. 8 languages are supported by the GUI (Graphical User Interface) on this network infrastructure tester.

JDSU ValidatorPro-NT - NT1155 comes with a planning and reporting software used to create network designs of all sizes. With this software, you can print or e-mail charts and reports of different test performed.
