If you need an alternative to solder, or just dont want to risk the heat and the mess, you can always use some epoxy. An ideal replacement to use on electrical components, MG Chemicals Silver Conductive Epoxy works as a conductive adhesive that can be applied similarly to solder. Electrical currents travel through this glue-like construct without being lessened or negatively affected. Supplied in pre-measured syringes, 7g standard, this product is easy to transport, store, and can be used to make repairs and connect heat-sensitive objects. In five hours, the epoxy hardens and this process can be sped up with heat.
