If flame retardance and durability are your primary concerns for your braided sleeving applications, then flame retardant expandable braided sleeving is your perfect solution.
Ideal for electronic and high tech applications with its lightweight but durable capabilities, flame retardant expandable braided sleeving is VW-1 VW-1 is an Underwriters' Laboratory (UL) flame rating for wire and sleeving. It denotes "Vertical Wire, Class 1", which is the highest flame rating a wire or sleeve can be given under the UL 1441 specification. The test is performed by placing the wire or sleeve in a vertical position. A flame is set underneath it for a period of time, and then removed. The characteristics of the sleeve are then noted. For a better definition of this test, please contact UL. UL rated. Also meets MIL-STD-202 (military quality standard for electronic parts), FAR 25 (Federal Aviation Regulations) and FMVSS 302 (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard) standards. Available in Black with a White Tracer or White with a Black Tracer (the tracers are braided into the product to help identify the braid as 'flame retardant') |

Non Fray Braided Sleeving Flame Retardant has all of the same qualities that make our standard Non Fray Braided Sleeving so easy to cut and install, with the added advantage of a flame inhibitor to provide an extra level of safety in certain applications.
Under normal conditions, Non Fray Flame Retardant will quickly self-extinguish and minimize flame spread and incidental damage to surrounding components. The combination of flame retardance, ease of installation and nearly complete coverage makes Flame Retardant an ideal solution for many industrial and engineering applications. |
